People can experience conflict over a wide range of personal or community issues. These can include disagreements between neighbours or people who considered themselves friends. Sometimes in families, disputes can arise over issues of inheritance or ownership of family property.
Philemon will work with people to identify a problem and come to a shared understanding of the disagreement and from there help people to work out a solution that is binding and final. This approach is achieved quickly, at low cost and without accessing the courts as a final arbiter.
Legal advice is generally retained by the parties to a dispute but this is kept to a level that ensures interests are met. The strength and efficiency of mediation is that it achieves this in a timely manner and in a way that respects the interests of both parties and not just one.
